Very strange looking, but so unique. Your photo really shows the formation caused by erosion.

Amazing rocks and when you think about the time it took to form and all the little crustaceans that lived between the layers and eventually got washed out it is quite mind boggling.

Do you know if it was wind or water or a combo that sculpted the rocks? Are they called Pancake Rocks, or did you name them? As I look at the photo, I wonder what it would be like to dig my hand inside the slats and feel what was left behind.

A bit more about them here. https://irenewaters19.com/2013/11/17/pancake-rocks-the-full-picture/ Predominantly water although wind would have played some part.

The rugged texture with spiky plants and the S-curve in the ocean. It’s a monochrome beauty. I hope you had fun posting it, Irene. Have a good week!

I remember this. Did you post a different angle or color photo of this? It’s gorgeous.

I have certainly posted similar. Not sure if this exact one but could have been but it would have been in colour.

I think so… Sometime. I remember the “pancakes”. 😀 Love these. They’re beautiful in both color and b&w.
