This week we have been asked for those photos that were oops whether from a technical or photogenic view point.
The ones above had the light from behind causing the photos subjects to become silhouettes.

And the one I do constantly – the ground shot
These I have hundreds of but I have less of the finger shot.

Photos of people looking not their best I have these aplenty as well but I think they deserve to only be seen at their best so I will supply one shot of myself only.

And then sometimes my fashion sense has to queried.

About Irene Waters 19 Writer Memoirist
I began my working career as a reluctant potato peeler whilst waiting to commence my training as a student nurse. On completion I worked mainly in intensive care/coronary care; finishing my hospital career as clinical nurse educator in intensive care. A life changing period as a resort owner/manager on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu was followed by recovery time as a farmer at Bucca Wauka. Having discovered I was no farmer and vowing never again to own an animal bigger than myself I took on the Barrington General Store. Here we also ran a five star restaurant. Working the shop of a day 7am - 6pm followed by the restaurant until late was surprisingly more stressful than Tanna. On the sale we decided to retire and renovate our house with the help of a builder friend. Now believing we knew everything about building we set to constructing our own house. Just finished a coal mine decided to set up in our backyard. Definitely time to retire we moved to Queensland. I had been writing a manuscript for some time. In the desire to complete this I enrolled in a post grad certificate in creative Industries which I completed 2013. I followed this by doing a Master of Arts by research graduating in 2017. Now I live to write and write to live.

I press too hard and so many of my photos are out of focus – great shots ruined by a lousy photographer. Fortunately most of yours are wonderful. I do think your fashion sense has shown considerable improvement. Thanks for today’s chuckle.

Glad you chuckled. I cringed. I hope I didn’t go out like that but I fear I probably did.
Digital cameras are the best thing to practice on. You can take hundreds of shots and one might turn out okay. No-one is lousy it is just lack of practice.
Glad to give you a chuckle.

Irene, I have (or had) photos of my feet and fingers. But that last one has been really laughing.

My daughter gets the best oops-photos, somehow managing a terrific shot with her body part included at an odd angle. This makes a fun collection!

Your daughter must have a similar camera technique to mine. Why do we keep them? Just shows my hoarding is transferred to the computer.

Ha ha ha! These pics were all very funny and I am hoping you didn’t venture out with that particular example of your sense of fashion – but even if you did, who cares? It’s all about living life to the fullest … with lots of oops and ah-ha’s! 🙂

Glad you enjoyed them Gale. I can’t remember if I did or not. I can vaguely remember it was a fancy dress of some description and I was thinking of going as an American footballer but I neither remember being at the event or wearing it. Thats the oops of age – no memory.
