I was thrilled as I always am when I was nominated for not only the Shauny award but
also the Friends and Followers Award by Sherri Matthews who writes from her summerhouse. She has a wonderful blog -she stirs kinds of emotions with her writing , humour and the occasional sadness. Her enjoyable from the heart memories will stir your own memories and together you can wander down a path that perhaps you weren’t planning on exploring today but the sheer unexpectedness of it and the delight she gives you makes that path even more special. Sherri also writes about Aspergers as her daughter has this condition. An interview she did recently with her daughter was fascinating and can be found at
The Shauny Award. Was created by Dr Rex who created this award to acknowledge the efforts and multiple contributions that a lad, Shaun Gibson, has shown since he started blogging in the wordpress platform. You can find more information at

The rules of acceptance are:
Show Humanity, Show Love, Be Yourself, Don’t Be Others, Don’t Gossip, and Share This Award with 10 others.”

This award was created by http://www.nerissaslife.com to celebrate the 75,000th hit on her blog. A monumental amount. Well done Nerissa. Thank Sherri for passing it on to me.
This award has a few simple rules:
- Post the award on your blog
- Thank the person who nominated you and follow them by any means necessary
- Pass the award to a few friends who already follow you
- Let your nominees know they have been nominated
BUT, and it’s a very big BUT, I find it simply impossible to send this award on to just a few. If you are reading this blog you are a friend or follower. In this case you are nominated for this award. I would like you all to know that I am very appreciative of all of you who read and follow me and although I try to keep up with you all I do at times struggle as I can’t just put a like – I have to read your posting. Perhaps I’m not the fastest reader and I know that as I am doing my Masters at the moment and life has to happen as well I don’t get around you all as frequently as I should. Please take this award as my thank you to you.
Congratulations everyone.
Congratulations with your awards.

Congratulations on your awards! I also appreciate how you don’t just go around “liking” posts without fully reading them. That will make the next “like” I get from you, even that more special. 🙂

I’d love to be able to do that but I just can’t. Thanks mewhoami.

That’s a good thing. Same here – I can’t either. That wouldn’t be honorable to the person who wrote the post.

Thanks for the award. Can you tell me how to put the links on other blogs to award people?

You’re welcome. There must be an easy way but I put all my mominees addresses in my post which will generate a ping back (so they will know whether you send an individual note to them or not) and then I do a note which I do individually. It is quite time consuming but I don’t know an easier way.

Sorry I’ve come across wrong. What I meant is about writing the link and how it links from my blog.
I don’t know too much about this, not an everyday activity I guess.

Hi, hope this time I answer your question. Its a huge learning curve for me too. Go to the post, highlight the address bar and copy it and then on your post paste it where you want to put it. Goodluck.
