Yes it was tall and looking at the soil which was where I was standing you wonder what makes people dig just there – probably because of the tall pillar which I guess the dessert didn’t manage to obliterate in entirety.

The texture looks great to me. We had a chance to go to Cairo when my brother-in-law worked there as a naval engineer but my husband didn’t like the sand and desert so we didn’t go. I don’t think we’ll ever go there even though I love to unearth something! 🙂

It is a pity you didn’t take the opportunity as it is a fantastic place to visit. Just amazing standing next to things you have grown up learning about and seeing the bullrushes in the Nile which made me think of Moses. It was a bit like having a trip down memory lane despite never having been there before.

Yes, I know, Irene. After my brother-in-law came back, Cairo was unstable. Now I think we won’t be able to go.
