I am a person that is distracted by anything and everything. I made a good nurse because I noticed everything. As a photographer it gives a wealth of subjects. The significant other finds it dashed annoying. Paying the restaurant bill takes awhile – I have been distracted by these little horses.

I had so much to do this day but when Nikkibella escaped her own yard and came to visit – what would you expecct. I had to watch the games of Muffin (nearly 2) with the pup (12 weeks).

A baby ghekko is certainly distracting.

Skies have the power to distract.

As does the computer. Mindless pursuits and others not quite so mindless will keep me distracted for many minutes.

The beauty of nature whether it be flower or scene will also take me away from what I wanted to do that day.

The unexpected or the unusual will always distract me.

About Irene Waters 19 Writer Memoirist
I began my working career as a reluctant potato peeler whilst waiting to commence my training as a student nurse. On completion I worked mainly in intensive care/coronary care; finishing my hospital career as clinical nurse educator in intensive care. A life changing period as a resort owner/manager on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu was followed by recovery time as a farmer at Bucca Wauka. Having discovered I was no farmer and vowing never again to own an animal bigger than myself I took on the Barrington General Store. Here we also ran a five star restaurant. Working the shop of a day 7am - 6pm followed by the restaurant until late was surprisingly more stressful than Tanna. On the sale we decided to retire and renovate our house with the help of a builder friend. Now believing we knew everything about building we set to constructing our own house. Just finished a coal mine decided to set up in our backyard. Definitely time to retire we moved to Queensland. I had been writing a manuscript for some time. In the desire to complete this I enrolled in a post grad certificate in creative Industries which I completed 2013. I followed this by doing a Master of Arts by research graduating in 2017. Now I live to write and write to live.
Wow.. that passionflower and the torso/dog? compilation. Amazing.

Sometimes you know why flowers are called something and the passion flower along with the fruit is one of those times. I was just having fun fiddling with the camera – I’m afraid it is all me but in the park they think that Muffin and I have exactly the same hair and I quite like the idea of a melding.

I must have gone back and looked at that photo 5 or 6 times. It is wonderful. Just couldn’t see that it could be one photo w/o being photoshopped. Fiddle again! ( Not with this photo, though, as it is perfect.)

Thanks Judy. I don’t need any encouragement to fiddle and then I wonder where time goes.

Thank you Tina. Perhaps I should post the whole set I did. It was a bit of fun at the time.

Melange of great photos – tho i could do without the surrealistic one – that is a bit creepy.

I guess I’m glad you prefer me with a head with hair rather than a torso topped with hair.
