What a perfect photo! Is this a secretary bird? Or….? I think he’s dancing for the girl he has his eye on – see how he turns his head back? “Hey, Feathers, you see how handsome I am?” If she doesn’t respond with a ruffle of her own tail, he may really be left out to dry!

Haha. I don’t know what kind of bird it is. But love your thoughts on him.

This reminds me of Blue Heron! In the summer he’d make a show of bathing and then hanging his feathers out to dry. Always made me laugh!

I wonder if ours is a blue heron also. It certainly is some kind of wading bird. My books are in storage still but one day I will retrieve and identify. Nice to have a laugh. I think we have forgotten how to. I am making a conscious effort to make sure I laugh every day at something or nothing.

Certainly looks like a heron! We need to laugh and making a daily commitment is like medicine for the soul. May you find daily delights and chuckles!
