When I opened my apartment door to a particular young man for a first date, he had his hand behind his back and asked what was my favorite color. I said, “yellow.” He held out his hand. In it was one yellow peace rose. Tomorrow is our 44th anniversary.

I love those yellow flowers and have seen them on my trips up to Brisbane over the years and even tried growing one down here but I inevitably killed it. They’re so uplifting, bright, tropical. Thanks so much for sharing. Feel like getting on a plane and heading North! xx Rowena

Drop in if you do. I think all yellow flowers are uplifting, bright but perhaps not all are tropical.
