What a beautiful home, though I hope they’re able to fix the window. I liked how you zoomed in closer and closer.

Thanks. These houses are called Queenslanders as they are built up on stilts, usually higher than this one but this has a hillock. It serves numerous purposes. Flood protection, a shady place to play and live (under the house) and cools the top of the house as the air circulates through and under. I think the window is what is known as a sleep out. A verandah which can be closed off with awning or the like. It too allows for the breezes to go through the building.

OK, I give in: what is it, that beautiful pink spread ?

If I was down south I would say without any hesitation Cecil Bruner rose or a pink rambling rose of some description. That is what it could be here also as the hinterland is a bit colder but roses don’t do well in Noosa for the humidity. I can’t think of anything else it could be but I wasn’t risking life and limb to cross the road on the crest of a hill to get a closer look (or I was just feeling lazy).
