Lime/bright green is part of the human world. Babies particularly enjoy the bright colours.

It is also part of these animal’s world at Australia zoo. The crocodile once out of the water is not a fast runner so as it lies on the bright grass the handler is quite safe. In the water or close to shore the croc is king.

Poor Sabu can no longer be seen as per the green sign at 3pm. Sabu was a rescue elephant and was a ripe old age when she came to the zoo. Sadly she passed away but her final years were happy ones.

In nature green landscapes abound particularly in the tropics. Above in Tahiti whilst below in Vanuatu on the island of Tanna.

About Irene Waters 19 Writer Memoirist
I began my working career as a reluctant potato peeler whilst waiting to commence my training as a student nurse. On completion I worked mainly in intensive care/coronary care; finishing my hospital career as clinical nurse educator in intensive care. A life changing period as a resort owner/manager on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu was followed by recovery time as a farmer at Bucca Wauka. Having discovered I was no farmer and vowing never again to own an animal bigger than myself I took on the Barrington General Store. Here we also ran a five star restaurant. Working the shop of a day 7am - 6pm followed by the restaurant until late was surprisingly more stressful than Tanna. On the sale we decided to retire and renovate our house with the help of a builder friend. Now believing we knew everything about building we set to constructing our own house. Just finished a coal mine decided to set up in our backyard. Definitely time to retire we moved to Queensland. I had been writing a manuscript for some time. In the desire to complete this I enrolled in a post grad certificate in creative Industries which I completed 2013. I followed this by doing a Master of Arts by research graduating in 2017. Now I live to write and write to live.

What a great group of photos, My heart was in my mouth when I saw that man with the alligator, though. I don’t trust those beasties!.

I’m with you Noelle. It mightn’t be able to run fast but all you have to do is trip and you’d be dragged back quite easily I think.

Many consider the color green to be the color of life – it has a lot of symbolism, tho not all of it positive. Especially love the Tanna and Tahiti photos. And that adorable baby.

Green was a colour I didn’t like when I was younger but now it is one of my favourite colours. Blue which used to be a favourite has declined in popularity for me anyway except of course for a blue sky. Glad you liked the Tanna and Tahiti photos…. and as a proud aunt of course the baby.

Thanks Cee. Compared to the vibrancy of yours they are quite dull but I’m glad you enjoyed them.
