[sob!] I thought they were OURS … I mean, Perth’s. Where I grew up … 🙂
Where’s this?

This is Weyba Creek which flows into Noosa River. The black swans are often here but I hadn’t seen them in such numbers before. When did you leave Perth?

I think its probably changed a bit since then [grin]. Do you need a hand up? 🙂 I have to admit that the only time I went to Perth I was too young to remember and the ship docked in Freemantle. I presume we toured Perth but I don’t know. One day I will get there.

What lovely creatures of nature–they bring calm and serenity to my morning. Thanks, especially because we’re in the midst of yet another snowstorm. I love that your images remind me of the warm days of Spring. Happy Phoneography Challenge.

Black swans are such a lovely contrast to the usual white ones. They amuse me when they are feeding because you just see a big white/black blog in the water. They’re enormous compared to ducks!! Not very nice, either, but they look lovely and make an incredible noise when they fly.

I’ve never seen them fly. I’ll have to keep my eyes open. They certainly are lovely floating though. Very tranquil.

Where did the white ones go? 😛

LOL. I’ve never seen white ones here. Black swans are native to Western Australia so I think they must migrate when the conditions are right. 🙂
