Such joy for child and aunt
Was 2013 a good year? Indeed it was. On the whole it had more ups than downs and as I believe that the downs are essential in life as, how else do you know that you are up, 2013 was good.
Living with a variety of landscapes there is a place for whatever mood takes you. Country, lakes, mountains, rivers and sea and a never-ending choice of places to walk the Zach the dog.
It was also good to achieve and complete various projects in 2013
2013 left me in no doubt that I am ageing and can no longer do everything I want to, without repercussions.
After first time stand up paddle boarding my legs went to jelly and I suffered for several days after. Family and friends remain important; not to forget I started this blog.
This last week of 2013 is most definitely a time for reflection.
Two lovers,
entwined
caring and sharing.
or perhaps,
a grandfather with his grand son,
Caring and Sharing.
or perhaps,
a community caring for their world
coming together and sharing
Yes, Caring and Sharing.
The brain decided to convert this challenge to caring and sharing and as I had finished a post with this theme and then discovered that it was kind and caring I decided that I would just post it anyway. Lovers should be kind to each other as should younger children to adults and vice versa and certainly we should be kind to the world and try to do the right thing by it.
This photo was taken on my iPhone 4s using HDR on Christmas Day as the sun set. Why is this my favourite photo of the week. I think because it was a beautiful end to a lovely Christmas spent with my brother who was visiting from Switzerland with his family, my 85 year old mother and my husband. To have the family altogether is a rare occurrence and one never knows how many more of these we will get. After eating far too much lunch my brother, his youngest son and myself went for a walk and explored the mangroves and then continued on to the footbridge where we were lucky enough to have a lovely sunset looking over the car bridge, watching the fish jumping and a couple of lovers kissing. Then home to prawns.
