Gorgeous orchid, Irene. I wouldn’t dare have one, I am such a black thumb. But I did know a professor at UC Irvine who studied orchids and had a hot house full of them – a great place to spend some time admiring their beauty.

I think often we look at the surface of things. I don’t think I’d really looked inside one of these orchids before but the fine detail is amazing.
