Deep teal color of the sea. Seagulls gliding overhead? Lunch must be swimming just under the surface of the sea. Why the sharp corner? No waves, it looks like a gigantic concrete pool. Is this protected from sharks?

It is actually the mouth of the river and I’d guess that the beach has probably been made. Only a short walk to the ocean but I think protected within. No shark net to my knowledge. They had a lot of shark nets in NSW but Qld doesn’t seem to have the same fear.

I agree Diane. Whenever we travel the first thing we notice on our return is how vibrant our blue skies are. They seem to have a clarity not seen elsewhere. There must be some scientific reason why this is so, but whatever the reason, I love it.
