(6 photos) Walking down the road I saw a sight I possibly have never seen before.

and still it continued.

I don’t know whether these were a mistake as I don’t remember taking them. Sometimes I practice taking macros using Zack as subject but I feel this pair of photos was me clicking the button with the camera pointed to the ground. I have more cement path photos than anyone I know. All accidents.

Now I remember. No accident. I was trying to get some whiskers on kittens for Cee’s Fun Foto. As I didn’t have a kitten Zack had to substitute.

This puzzled me for awhile. Did I lie on the board walk to take this photo. I knew I hadn’t. It is simply too hard to get up from that position these days. The next photo explained it.

About Irene Waters 19 Writer Memoirist
I began my working career as a reluctant potato peeler whilst waiting to commence my training as a student nurse. On completion I worked mainly in intensive care/coronary care; finishing my hospital career as clinical nurse educator in intensive care. A life changing period as a resort owner/manager on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu was followed by recovery time as a farmer at Bucca Wauka. Having discovered I was no farmer and vowing never again to own an animal bigger than myself I took on the Barrington General Store. Here we also ran a five star restaurant. Working the shop of a day 7am - 6pm followed by the restaurant until late was surprisingly more stressful than Tanna. On the sale we decided to retire and renovate our house with the help of a builder friend. Now believing we knew everything about building we set to constructing our own house. Just finished a coal mine decided to set up in our backyard. Definitely time to retire we moved to Queensland. I had been writing a manuscript for some time. In the desire to complete this I enrolled in a post grad certificate in creative Industries which I completed 2013. I followed this by doing a Master of Arts by research graduating in 2017. Now I live to write and write to live.
I love the way your mind works, Irene!

Like getting lost in photography I got lost on your blog! I was having a wonderful ramble, enjoying the posts, marveling at how much you wrote in a week! Then I noticed a date–2013! I could have gone on longer and will make it a point to explore your archives more often. You have fabulous writing.

Thank you Charli. I couldn’t work out what had happened. I had decided that I would reblog some of these old posts as in the early days no-one looked at them. For a minute when I saw your comments on all these old ones I thought I must have pressed a button and reblogged them all. Glad you stopped by for awhile. You are always welcome.

I think on Thursdays, when you re-post an archive, I’m going to take time to get lost again. 🙂

You made my day yesterday looking at all those early posts and again today just being happy to do it again (even if you don’t) is music to my critical ears. 🙂
