Amazing the difference the sun makes. This is the same bush, taken from opposite sides. The side capturing the sun is a bright red where the side in shadow is more a crimson purple.

Wow! They used to have an entire mountain covered with Bougainvillea in Chapala, a nearby tow, but there was a fire and it all burned away. These trees are spectacular! I’ve seen them grow up to the top of a Norfolk Island Pine, but not this lush! Thanks for giving me the link, Irene.
