Thank you Nicole. It is so tranquil anywhere on the river and with all its different moods I am happy to visit time after time, in fact most days I will walk the dogs along a part of the river.

Beautiful photos of the river, Irene. especially the sunset ones are gorgeous! We are close to the ocean, but our beaches are busy. We have a lake close by which is peaceful.

I know what you mean Miriam. We are close to the ocean also and I rarely go there because it is so busy and so difficult to park. The river is a different proposition altogether. Glad you have a lake that you can soak up the peace.

We went to Bondi beach, it wasn’t too busy. Of course I compared with the beaches in southern California where people literally having the beach towels and umbrellas next to each other. We just walk around them.

Yes – we think our beach is busy but it is nothing like Europe and from the sound of what you are saying California.

My husband has an aunt lived in Blue Mountain. We visited The Three Sisters. We climbed on the Harbor Bridge – most expensive event!!

When we lived in Sydney I used to walk in the Blue Mountains a lot. I envy your bravery doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb.

We had everything on hooks. I didn’t know if I had anything loose, but when we went to the top and I looked down, something fell out and went straight down. It was very windy.

I like all of your photos but the one with the sunset and the moon caught my eye.

I don’t know if it was a moon or something in the light refraction but if it was the moon – boy was it a blue moon.
Water becomes so special to you. We once had a river as our border and it was lovely knowing it was at the bottom of the garden even though we couldn’t see it unless it was in flood and we rarely went down to it – so I know what you mean.

Looks like the moon to me – too big for the sun… and I didn’t see any lights around. You could always check the moon rise times with the paper for the day (if you remember the date). But it is common enough to have the sun and moon share the sky. Just the light from the water could have made the moon look blue. I showed the photo to my hubby and he thinks it could be the moon too. Maybe you didn’t plan it – but it’s there! 🙂

I do believe, I do believe. The moon isn’t quite full…looks like just a little bit of the bottom right chin of the face isn’t quite there… I bet if you blew it up you could see craters 😉

I agree. I am very lucky to live in a place that is full of water. No-one lives out of walking distance of walking here and the three towns which have joined together as one cover quite an area. The pelicans are fantastic. Thanks.
