Rug hunting for us equals indecision. The only rug we liked in the first shop we visited would have gone well with our new reddish floor.

But we couldn’t bring ourselves to make the purchase. We hadn’t looked at enough rugs and for some reason rug buying always makes us feel as though we have been duped.

As we left the shop we saw this Kashmiri hand made rug. It was beautiful. A mixture of silk and wool. But we have a dog that likes to come home dirty and sometimes likes to try her digging skills with a rug. It was too expensive not to care if it was destroyed.
So we had a day out rug looking.

Did we go a combination of sisal and material. What would the texture be like underneath the feet? How easy would it be to clean?

The sewing looked somewhat flimsy and certainly appealing for a puppy to eat.

Pure wool at a reasonable price but could we live with the sputnik?

From a distance perhaps it was a butterfly. It’s texture would at least feel nice beneath the feet and cleaning should be no problem.

Perhaps we should just go really cheap. Less than $100 we wouldn’t care.
But no, all rugged out, we purchased nothing.

What fun I had shopping with you and Roger! I love looking at rugs and you chose some really lovely ones.
I’d like to ask a question. You are welcome to disregard or edit this out, should you not want to address. You’ve written about Muffin recently, but we’ve read nothing about Bundy. I hope he is healthy.

Glad to have you along. Perhaps you could have made a decision for us.
Bundy is still with us but is suffering a bit with arthritis. He has reached a point where he doesn’t want to come walking. We are hoping a series of injections will help and he will want to again walk. He still loves Roger as you can see.

I see Bundy already found your new rug – it’s called the “Roger” and it comes with a variety of textures and colors to go with any decor. Very chic!

Ha! 😀 I’ve had similar trips. Leaving with nothing. It’s funny but kind of frustrating. Love the texture in these. Nice job.

Frustrating and infuriating. I end up saying I will have anything just to have to stop looking. Let me go home. At least it did give me some good texture photos.

Thanks Paula. I could live with the sputnik too and it would feel so nice underfoot and wool, I think, would be so easy to clean.
