About Irene Waters 19 Writer Memoirist
I began my working career as a reluctant potato peeler whilst waiting to commence my training as a student nurse. On completion I worked mainly in intensive care/coronary care; finishing my hospital career as clinical nurse educator in intensive care. A life changing period as a resort owner/manager on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu was followed by recovery time as a farmer at Bucca Wauka. Having discovered I was no farmer and vowing never again to own an animal bigger than myself I took on the Barrington General Store. Here we also ran a five star restaurant. Working the shop of a day 7am - 6pm followed by the restaurant until late was surprisingly more stressful than Tanna. On the sale we decided to retire and renovate our house with the help of a builder friend. Now believing we knew everything about building we set to constructing our own house. Just finished a coal mine decided to set up in our backyard. Definitely time to retire we moved to Queensland. I had been writing a manuscript for some time. In the desire to complete this I enrolled in a post grad certificate in creative Industries which I completed 2013. I followed this by doing a Master of Arts by research graduating in 2017. Now I live to write and write to live.
Okay, you’ve riddled me! Will you tell us in a post what these are??

You are great at this challenge, Irene! I think Miss Muffin lay on a blue rug where the dye hadn’t been set adequately. Perhaps she was wet or the rug was. The wood is a didgeridoo with burned decorations and water droplets on it. Mushrooms above the didgeridoo and a hippo mouth above the mushrooms. Above that, a urinal and a tie-down for a tent in a parking lot or festival site. The first photo looks like a bromeliad gone to seed. Did I get any of them, Irene? I don’t think I could meet your skill in producing mystery photos, but perhaps I solved a few.

Good try Judy. She didn’t turn blue at home but after we had been for our walk so not a rug and the same place we walk every day. Mushroom was correct. Love the urinal but no as it is for the rest of your great attempts. At least you have given me a wide smile. You’ll never feel the same about that teapot, will you Irene?

The ones I would not have gotten in the didgeridoo, hippo mouth (I would have guessed llama). I would have missed the tent tie down too, but I was in the right arena.

Cee it is okay that you didn’t get those as it is not a didgeridoo or a tent tie down. You were right with Llama. The answers https://irenewaters19.com/2016/05/18/the-riddles-answered-cees-fun-foto-challenge/

I’m guessing Laama/ washing machine/ mushroom. Now I’ll go check out the answers for the rest, and to see if I got mine right.😊

Two right – not bad. Prefer washing machine to urinal.

My ideas before reading any of the others: 1. No idea (but I like this picture the best – I feel drawn to it!) 2. A ring in order to attach a boat to it by rope? 3. An old-fashioned tea-pot with a built in strainer 4. Some kind of fungi? 5. definitely a plant eater, an animal that browses, a camel maybe? 6. Decorated wood or bamboo 7. No idea how your dog got the paint on its belly but it is the same colour as South African vervet monkeys down below: https://c8.staticflickr.com/4/3152/3063541247_3a9d75923c_b.jpg (sorry)

There is nothing like the first thing you see in the morning being your monkey parts. You gave me a good laugh to start my day. You didn’t do too badly and you got the teapot – I doubt that I will use it again as someone guessed urinal.
