Very beautifully expressed. Did you do the drawing?

Thanks Noelle. No I didn’t do the drawing. It is actually not a drawing but a wood etching/carving. It is so fine that it is hard to believe it is done on wood. It was a labour of love by whoever did do it.

I love the character that shows through the lines. Great!

I hate to disappoint and I wish I did draw this well but unfortunately I have to admit that it is neither a drawing nor done by myself. It is a wood etching and it was superb, the lines just perfect.

Had no idea you’re also an artist, and a very talented one! So much expression in both photo and art. Well done!

No I’m not an artist at all Sharon and it just shows how good an artist the chap who did this labour of love was as it is a wood etching but such fine work it is hard to believe it is other than a drawing. I’d better add something to my photo frame.

Was so focused on the two images, I didn’t even see your poem below – now the whole thing makes better sense – and so much more meaningful as well.

Glad you hadn’t seen the poem as I thought perhaps that didn’t make sense. I spent some time comparing the two images to see if they could be the same so if you were unaware of them being different then I can imagine you too trying to see the similarities.

your words are beautiful – and such a nice contrast with the etching and the live face 🙂
