(3 photos) Muffin is four weeks old. She will be coming to live with us when she is 8 weeks old. We will take as much care of her as her breeder obviously is already.

Crossing the river this man takes care not only not to fall but also not to be annoyed by the bush flies which are plentiful where ever cows are found.

I began my working career as a reluctant potato peeler whilst waiting to commence my training as a student nurse. On completion I worked mainly in intensive care/coronary care; finishing my hospital career as clinical nurse educator in intensive care. A life changing period as a resort owner/manager on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu was followed by recovery time as a farmer at Bucca Wauka. Having discovered I was no farmer and vowing never again to own an animal bigger than myself I took on the Barrington General Store. Here we also ran a five star restaurant. Working the shop of a day 7am - 6pm followed by the restaurant until late was surprisingly more stressful than Tanna. On the sale we decided to retire and renovate our house with the help of a builder friend. Now believing we knew everything about building we set to constructing our own house. Just finished a coal mine decided to set up in our backyard. Definitely time to retire we moved to Queensland. I had been writing a manuscript for some time. In the desire to complete this I enrolled in a post grad certificate in creative Industries which I completed 2013. I followed this by doing a Master of Arts by research graduating in 2017. Now I live to write and write to live.

      I am going to Deb. I am looking forward to puppy training but not looking forward to losing sleep and puddles on the floor but luckily that is usually short lived.

        I’m certainly hoping it’s short lived. My puppy is 4 months old and I’m really tired of the messes!!

        I have got Roger to make me a puppy toilet. It is a low plastic box with lid which we have put holes into. We have put artificial grass on top and have it close at hand so that it always goes on it. That is the plan anyway. Then I can just empty it down the toilet rather than have it soak into the carpet. It is also laziness on my part as I don’t want to have to take it out to the garden during the night but rather just outside. I’m hoping the artificial grass will let her know that it greenery she is supposed to go on. Unless it is true that they are colour blind. LOL

        I’m looking forward to hearing your puppy adventures! I may have to try the puppy toilet idea if all else fails here. She knows to go outside, she just hasn’t gotten the idea to tell me she needs to go out. I was so ready to give her away this afternoon when she tinkled on my freshly mopped floor! Guess my idea of using disinfectant to take away the puppy potty smell didn’t help much.

        Well, she’s 4 months old. She was 12 weeks when I got her and was used to being in a very large run. Guess she still is, it’s called my house! By the way I like your gravitar pic.

        LOL. Everyone is telling me to get a crate for her. Did you do that? Muffin will probably take over the house as well unless Bundy puts his foot down. Thanks re pic.

        Yes. A friend of mine had one to get rid of just at the right time. They learn quickly it’s time to settle down when put there. Another trick, when it’s bedtime, cover the crate so they will get quiet. When they get older they’ll use the crate as a safe place.

        You’ve persuaded me. I have been uncertain about whether to get one as I’ve never had one for past puppies but thinking has changed radically since then. Thanks.

        LOL. The first few times she will cry pathetically but soon will quiet down. If nothing else it’s a safe place to put her so you can get a break! Good luck! I’m looking forward to your adventures with her!
