That was a cool puzzle. Chris and I used to do them…but with out cats we just can’t anymore. Great series of photos for this week’s challenge!

It was. It is a particular type of jigsaw where the picture on the cover is not the picture that you make. The one they were doing was the picture that one of the people on the cover could see. The completed one was a mystery and you had to do the conclusion to the mystery.

That kid is smart for the age he looks to be.

I think so. Communication was limited as he did not speak any English. What I did notice was that he had perseverance to deal with puzzles and he usually solved them. Other six year olds (and older) that I know don’t seem to be able to concentrate on one thing for long periods- giving up and moving on to the next item. I wonder if it is the difference between children who grow up with iPods, iPads and computers as opposed to those that don’t (like this child).

Great! To ,me the first picture especially captures the word. The subjects leaning away from eachother and even the onlooker is engrossed in his own world.
Preoccupied, fabulous!

So true. For most of the 5 week visit this was how you would find them when they were at home. Totally focused, totally preoccupied.
